Birthday present from fabric stash

My son was invited to his first ‘girls’ birthday party and I thought it was a good opportunity to make her present (boys are a bit harder to make presents for I have found).

So I went through my stash of fabric and selected an old denim maternity skirt I had and some quilting fabric I had. Voila a sweet little dress!

The dress was quick to sew and is super cute. I love the detail round the neck.

This cost me $0…perfect. I then headed up to The Warehouse and picked up a packet of beads for $3 and made her a necklace on stretchy cord.

I also added in a wee nailpolish and lipstick set for $3 also. I am happy to report she loved the presents so I am one happy crafter!

'Til next time, Melissa
